Club Med Phuket resort completed a major renovation at the end of 2024, and the updates are meant to redefine slow, family island vacations for busy urban travelers.
Located on Kata Beach (a white sand beach on Phuket Island), the resort operates on an all inclusive model, with meals, most drinks, on site entertainment and many activities included in the package, Club Med said in a statement.
The resort stretches along the Andaman Sea, with low density landscaping that places tropical gardens on one side and ocean views on the other. The layout aims to preserve privacy even when the property is busy, the resort website says.

Stepping from Phuket’s bustling streets into the resort’s open timber lobby produces an immediate sense of calm. The architecture blends Thai traditional elements, such as steep pitched roofs and deep red ceilings, with clean contemporary lines aligned to the shoreline.
The resort emphasizes acoustic management and guest segmentation so visitors can choose the atmosphere they prefer. Club Med said those operational choices are central to its repositioning as both a family friendly property and a place for adults seeking quiet.
Rooms and a softer modern aesthetic
The most notable change is a new room collection finished at the end of 2024, the resort said. The standard balcony room uses warm wood floors, a muted lake green feature wall and a terracotta long sofa as an accent.
Lighting is deliberately warm and soft, with lantern shaped pendants that avoid harsh cool light. Practical details include multiple bedside charging ports and individual reading lamps, reflecting an attention to modern traveler behavior.
Pools, bars and programmed energy
The main pool and bar are the social heart of the resort. The pool is designed with three depths to accommodate different swimmers, Club Med said, and after sunset the space becomes a lounge with live music and signature cocktails.
All poolside bars, and their standard soft drinks, snacks and many cocktails, are included in the room rate, with select premium bottles offered on a special menu, the resort said. The resort also highlighted its Thai milk tea as a refined classic to try at the pool bar.
At the far east end of the grounds is the Zen Pool, an adult only pool for guests 20 and older, surrounded by dense coconut palms and designed for quiet reading and low intensity swimming.
Family programming and facilities
Club Med Phuket resort expanded its children and youth offerings as part of the renovation. The property added or refreshed Baby Club Med and Petit Club Med for ages two to three, while Mini Club Med for ages four to ten now includes a children s pool and regular bubble parties, the resort said.
For ages 11 to 17 the resort s Passworld area now includes a new Utopia zone designed for teens to meet peers from around the world, Club Med said. The property also opened a family water park last year with slides, fountains and a large tipping bucket.
Activities, wellness and the Club Med experience
The activity program is broad, with beachfront sports, a circus school program that includes aerial acts, archery, golf, tennis and Muay Thai, according to details on Club Med s website. After activities guests can book massages at the spa or attend evening shows led by the resort s G.O.s, Club Med s name for its on site staff.
The all inclusive model also extends to payments. Guests use a contact wristband to charge incidental purchases, and the resort allows guests to continue using facilities and dining after check out until the shuttle departs, Club Med said.
Dining and special events
Beyond a full day buffet, the resort s reservation restaurant The Chu da offers a more ceremonial dining experience in amber and rust light. The menu emphasizes precise Thai flavors, including a glass noodle salad with a carefully balanced sour, spicy, salty and aromatic profile, the restaurant description says.
On select dates, such as Easter and peak summer periods, Club Med hosts branded collaborations and events. The resort said a recent partnership with Italian aperitivo brand Aperitivo 1919 included a Bohemian night with free tastings and live music led by the resort director and G.O.s.
