Chanel Coco Game Watches, Five Limited Edition Models

Chanel Coco Game launches a five piece limited edition watch collection that recasts vintage video games, board games and playing cards into high watchmaking, CHANEL said.

Arnaud Chastaingt, director of CHANEL’s watchmaking creative studio, said the collection translates playful motifs into the brand’s signature black and white palette and graphic lines. CHANEL is presenting five limited edition watches, each meant to merge craft and theatrical detail, the company said.

The Chanel Coco Game collection pairs haute horology techniques with whimsical design cues from pixel art, chess boards and card decks. CHANEL said the pieces were designed at the brand’s Rue Cambon studio in Paris and assembled at its Swiss watchmaking manufacture in La Chaux de Fonds, Switzerland.

J12 COCO GAME

The J12 COCO GAME reimagines the seconds hand as a pixelated CHANEL woman character that travels across the dial. To achieve extreme lightness, the character silhouette is laser cut from carbon fiber plate, a technique CHANEL said its artisans developed over 10 months of research.

The dial uses diamond hour markers and a bezel finished with elongated trapezoid engravings. CHANEL offers the J12 COCO GAME in two ceramic finishes, glossy white and matte black.

BOY·FRIEND COCO GAME

The BOY·FRIEND COCO GAME dial is shaped like a playing card and depicts the CHANEL woman as the queen of hearts. She wears a tweed suit, a flat top straw hat and a pearl necklace rendered in crisp black and white to echo the house codes.

Two heart shaped metal appliques add a soft touch. The watch pairs a white leather strap with black edging to continue the collection’s simple, pure aesthetic.

PREMIÈRE COCO GAME

The PREMIÈRE COCO GAME composes the CHANEL logo from six dangling charms, finished in black coating, white lacquer and sapphire crystal. The charms swing gently with wrist movement, offering a kinetic, jewelry like interpretation of the brand signet.

CODE COCO GAME

The CODE COCO GAME draws on domino tile geometry, pairing a white diamond quilted leather strap with two contrasting black dials. One dial is set with a princess square cut diamond and the watch fastens with a Mademoiselle clasp, CHANEL said, a restrained expression of the house’s design grammar.

CHANEL said the collection keeps the maison’s graphic black and white language while introducing playful, game inspired details. The watches were designed in Paris and assembled in La Chaux de Fonds, reflecting CHANEL’s dual commitment to creativity and Swiss watchmaking craft.

Prices and availability were not disclosed in the press materials CHANEL provided. For more details, CHANEL’s watchmaking studio recommended contacting the brand’s boutiques or press office.
