The Hong Kong Film Awards announced its 2026 winners at the 44th ceremony, with Ciao, UFO named Best Picture and Sons of the Neon Night sweeping eight awards, including cinematography, film editing, and original score.
The night brought tight races in the acting categories. Tony Leung Ka-fai won Best Actor for his role in The Shadow’s Edge, his fifth time taking the top male acting honor. First-time nominee Fish Liew (廖子妤) won Best Actress for Someone Like Me, and director Patrick Leung Pak-kin (梁栢堅) earned Best Director for Ciao, UFO.
