Dior holiday makeup arrives for 2022 with a starry-night theme inspired by Christian Dior’s La Colle Noire villa outside Paris, bringing limited-edition palettes, high-pigment blush, and a lipstick set in a minaudiere clutch, Dior Beauty said.
Eyes are central to the holiday look. The collection features two couture five-color eyeshadow palettes, Galactic and Cosmic Eyes, and a range of coordinating cheek and nail shades that let you choose either subtle detail or a more dramatic party finish, according to a Dior Beauty product release.
Dior holiday makeup: key pieces
The eyeshadow palettes are central to the line. Two limited-edition five-color couture eyeshadow palettes, Dior Beauty said, carry a celestial motif pressed into the powders and pair warm and cool tones to build both daytime and evening looks.
The Galactic palette centers on rosewood, lavender with silver flecks, a pearlescent white, velvet black with iridescence, and a deep burgundy. Cosmic Eyes groups warm tones around a satin champagne beige, including a soft copper with green undertones, a refined gold, velvet black, and a silver-tinged taupe, the brand said.
Cheeks, nails and finishing touches
The Rouge Blush is formulated with a high concentration of pigment for long wear. Dior Beauty highlighted two new shades for the season, Cosmic Coral for a festive glow and Galactic Red for a deeper, evening look.
Nail lacquer shades and coordinating accessories complete the collection, giving options for a tone-on-tone look or a contrasting pop of color, Dior Beauty said.
Lip set and minaudiere clutch
Party-ready lips are anchored by a special Rouge Dior lip set housed in a sleek black minaudiere clutch. The lip set includes three refill lipsticks and a lipstick case that fits a Rouge Dior bullet, plus a removable gold chain for wear, the company said.
Styled as a small evening accessory, the minaudiere can be carried alone or worn on the shoulder with the gold chain, and it conceals three vivid refill lipstick shades and a box to hold a Rouge Dior lipstick, the release said.
