Miu Miu Bubble Sneaker returns in Fall 2026, reviving the silhouette first introduced in 1999 with a lighter, more flexible sole and updated styling for everyday wear, the brand said.
The Bubble Sneaker’s most recognizable element remains its three-dimensional bubble sole, which Miu Miu said has been rebuilt with a new lightweight structure to preserve a sculptural outline while improving agility and comfort.
The sole adds transparent inserts and layered textures for a more kinetic visual effect, the label said. The reworked sole aims to keep the original bubble profile while increasing wearability, the company added.
The upper uses a deconstructed approach, combining leather and suede panels with light padding to balance support and comfort, according to Miu Miu. Technical ribbed cotton laces and contrasting lace tips are among the small details that link the shoe to the brand’s recent focus on blending athletic function with fashion gestures.
Alongside the standard leather and suede editions, Miu Miu introduced a technical nylon variant embellished with jeweled embroidery to add a dressier note to the model’s sporty silhouette. The jeweled details are intended to lift an everyday sneaker into a fashion piece, the brand said.

The Bubble Sneaker name appears throughout the collection, paired with both youthful and tailored looks on the runway, Miu Miu said. At the brand’s Fall 2026 show the shoes were styled with doll dresses and flight caps to juxtapose sweet and assertive elements.
The new construction reduces weight without flattening the sole’s sculptural presence, the house noted, and the transparent elements add depth when the shoe moves. Designers also refined the midsole contour to maintain an exaggerated profile that reads as a design signature rather than a traditional running shoe proportion.
Runway debut and pricing for the Miu Miu Bubble Sneaker
Miu Miu unveiled the Bubble Sneaker at its Fall 2026 runway show, the brand said, and it will be available through Miu Miu stores and the brand’s retail channels.
Retail pricing starts at $1,170 for the standard leather and suede version, and the jeweled embroidery technical-nylon variant is priced at $2,250, according to the brand’s product listings. Availability and exact release dates will vary by market, Miu Miu added.
Designers said the Bubble Sneaker continues Miu Miu’s ongoing exploration of archival motifs updated for contemporary wardrobes, pairing exaggerated proportions with crafted materials to create new everyday options.
