Onitsuka Tiger said the new design reinterprets a slim, ballet silhouette while borrowing the brand’s classic Mexico 66™ motifs. The shoe pairs a crossed heel strap and a rear heel counter with the familiar tiger claw pattern for a lighter, fashion forward look, the company said.
Materials and fit: soft leather, shirring elastic, and a flexible sole
According to Onitsuka Tiger, the upper uses high quality soft leather that hugs the foot for a wrapped, comfortable feel. The brand highlighted a shirring elastic panel (gathered elastic) at the vamp that provides a snug fit without pressure.
The outsole is engineered for stability and flexibility to support natural foot movement over long wear, Onitsuka Tiger said. The company also emphasized the shoes are designed for daily wear with comfort in mind.
