Bottega Veneta Alta launches a new perfume series that expands the house’s scent narrative beyond Venice to the whole of Italy, mapping a day from morning light to nighttime depth.
Bottega Veneta Alta: mapping a day in scent
Bottega Veneta said the Alta collection is built around the idea that fragrance can express both time and feeling, and that each scent should read like a moment in a day.
The collection moves away from a single-city inspiration, drawing instead from scenes across Italy: coastal mornings, sunlit orchards, and late-night piazzas. The house described the series as a conversation with the world through Italian materials and rare global ingredients.
Weaving scent with dual materials
The Alta lineup centers on what Bottega Veneta calls a dual-ingredient approach, pairing classic Italian notes with rare components from elsewhere. The formula ranges from citrus-fresh top notes to warm, resinous and woody bases, with surprising touches that recall stracciatella, the creamy vanilla and chocolate ripple found in Italian desserts.
To reflect the brand’s craftsmanship language, the collection references Intrecciato, the house’s signature woven leather technique, in both scent pairings and packaging. The range includes ten distinct fragrances, each intended to convey a particular mood or hour.
Ten fragrances spanning morning to night
Notes in the series run from basil and vetiver freshness, through blood orange and orange blossom brightness, to warm white fig and cedar. Deeper compositions draw on vanilla leather accords, saffron resin, plum, and agarwood to build a full transition from day into night.
Bottega Veneta described the lineup as a curated arc of moods, designed so a wearer can move through different moments while keeping a consistent house signature.
From scent to bottle design
The bottles translate woven leather into a sculptural form, pairing the Intrecciato texture with wooden caps and gold detailing that echo the brand’s artisanal tradition. The house said the packaging is refillable, and that it will be offered with limited leather accessories so the perfume functions as a durable object as well as a fragrance.
Alongside its launch notes, Bottega Veneta said the Alta collection aims to position fragrance as an ongoing, reusable component of wardrobe and daily ritual.

For more details on availability and pricing, Bottega Veneta said retailers and the brand’s boutiques will carry the Alta collection on a rolling schedule; the house did not provide a complete store list in its launch statement.
