Mexico 66 Golf: Onitsuka Tiger’s new golf sneaker

Mexico 66 Golf arrives from Onitsuka Tiger as a lifestyle-focused golf shoe that marries classic silhouette with on-course performance, aimed at golfers who want style and function in one pair.

Built on the classic MEXICO 66 SD platform, the Mexico 66 Golf preserves the models recognizable lines while refining details for golf use. Onitsuka Tiger, the Japanese sportswear brand, uses water-resistant full-grain leather on the upper, and a Kiltie tongue fringe that adds vintage character while helping keep sand and turf debris out of the shoe. From the embroidered brand name on the tongue to the metal logo at the heel, the Mexico 66 Golf emphasizes refined detailing.

Performance is central to the Mexico 66 Golf. The new outsole features five-millimeter spikes, about 0.2 inches, designed to bite into turf for improved traction and durability. To support movement during the golf swing, the shoe includes internal reinforcements and a heel support structure. A 13-degree slope from the outsole to the midsole enhances stability during the swing, while a dual-density midsole combines two cushioning materials of different firmness to balance long-walk comfort and control.

The Mexico 66 Golf series launches in six colorways: classic yellow with signature stripes, black with white accents, all white, black with pink contrast, a futuristic silver, and a subtle white-with-silver option. The palette is intended to make the Mexico 66 Golf stand out on the course, while remaining versatile enough for layered urban outfits off the course.
