Makoto Nomura’s play makes its first overseas appearance in Taipei, opening Aug. 7 at Old Town Theater, the production’s latest staged version after runs in Osaka and Kyoto.
ROHM Theater Kyoto, which lists Nomura as one of its resident artists, said the company has supported his work through its “Repertory Premiere: Hopes” program, helping the piece develop from a 2024 Osaka debut to a March 2026 presentation at ROHM Theater Kyoto.

The production, titled Good Day, See You Again, will be staged in Taipei from Aug. 7 to Aug. 9, with four performances in total. Running time is approximately 80 minutes, and the play will be performed in Japanese with Chinese subtitles.
The overseas tour is supported by the Japan Creator Support Fund, which the theater described as an important step in bringing the work to international audiences. ROHM Theater Kyoto said the fund provided assistance for the production’s overseas presentation.
General admission is approximately $32 (NT$1,000). The theater said discounted tickets will be available for students, members, and people with disabilities.
