Valentino Rockstud heels return in 2026 early fall under creative director Alessandro Michele, who has reinterpreted the label’s signature studded pump for a new season.
Valentino Rockstud heels, Alessandro Michele’s reinterpretation
Valentino said the Rockstud family, first introduced in the 2010 autumn winter collection, is presented now with fresh proportions and contemporary details under Michele’s creative direction. The relaunch keeps the defining geometric stud motif while adding a sculpted pointed toe, polished metal trim, and the label’s signature red sole.
Celebrities including Anne Hathaway and Dakota Johnson have been seen wearing earlier Rockstud styles, and Valentino said the updated Rockstud pieces are intended to fit both formal and everyday wardrobes.
Design details and heel options
The new Rockstud line comes in two heel heights, 10 cm and 4 cm, which is about 4 inches and 1.6 inches respectively. The collection expands beyond the classic high pump to include narrow-strap sandals and lower-heeled flats, giving customers more functional styling choices for daytime and evening wear.
Construction highlights include a sharpened toe shape, lacquered metal studs set in a precise grid, and a refined sole finish that emphasizes the shoe’s silhouette. Materials range from polished calfskin to patent leather, and color choices favor tonal neutrals with occasional contrast accents.

How to wear the new Rockstud styles
For a composed evening look pair the 10 cm Rockstud pump with a streamlined midi dress, letting the pointed toe and metal trim define the outfit. The 4 cm options work with cropped trousers or tailored denim for a day to night transition that keeps a refined profile without sacrificing comfort.
Shops and Valentino boutiques will carry the updated Rockstud line for the 2026 early fall season, and the brand said distribution will include both full price and select flagship locations. Customers interested in specific finishes are advised to check Valentino’s official channels for stock updates.

Campaign shot in Rome, a flanerie approach to imagery
Valentino released a campaign filmed in Rome, and the brand credited photographer Johnny Dufort and director Shayne Laverdiere for the visual direction. The campaign frames models moving through marble facades and flowing water features, a flanerie approach that records casual, unposed moments rather than staged tableaux.
The Rome setting anchors the Rockstud story in architectural texture and motion, with camera work that lingers on steps, fountains, and street thresholds to show how the shoes read in real urban movement. Valentino said the campaign is meant to connect the collection’s studded geometry with a contemporary feminine poise.
